Johnsrud is the recipient of OSHA’s SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) designation. This designation is achieved by companies that perform over and above the expectations of OSHA. Johnsrud was the first company in Iowa to be certified in 2002 and we are proud of our continued partnership and participation with the program. A flag with the SHARP logo proudly waves outside our Des Moines headquarters.

To keep our service commitment to our customers, we to care for our equipment. Equipment today is sophisticated and expensive. To assure mechanical reliability and service performance for our customers, Johnsrud follow an aggressive preventative maintenance program.
Each vehicle in our fleet regularly undergoes scheduled inspections and maintenance. Service requirements are promptly addressed at our terminals or at a nationwide network of qualified service providers.
Sophisticated software monitors any issues that arise with a tractor. Our maintenance department receives an email alert from the truck’s software and alerts the manufacturer of the issue. If it is determined it is an immediate issue, the software will show what qualified service providers are in the path the vehicle is traveling.
Tank maintenance is completed at our Des Moines facility, which is staffed with technicians knowledgeable in all aspects of tank design and repair.
